So lately I’ve been hearing more and more about growing your own vegetables. This got me thinking, just how much space do you need to supply all your produce needs? Granted, I realize that the point of the whole movement is that any little bit helps, and that you’re kind of restricted based on your climate. Still, I’m sure someone can give me a rough number.
I just planted my first garden and didn’t have room to use the entire seed packet. Should I save them and use them again next year? Will they still be good? The package says the sell by date is the end of this year so it seems like they would still be good. If not I’d like to give them to someone else so they can be used. Thanks.

Could you live a simple life? No cell phones, TV, no internet, growing your own vegetables, up and move to a smaller community, no debt, quiting your job, etc. As the older i get (31) i realized the cars don’t mean much, the jewelry, the multiple e-mail acct’s, the social network sites, the big screen tv. None of this really makes me happy anymore, and finding myself downsizing more and more to a simpler life.
Anyone else kind of like fed up with the rat race and big things in life to go too a simpler life?
