Some more suggestions to reduce global warming

Grow your own vegetables.

Use less electricity. Cut down on electrical appliances, especially clothes dryers, dishwashers, and heaters, and switch off your a/c more frequently, or run it at a higher room temperature.

Work from home whenever you get the opportunity.

Cut down on car usage, only using it for essential journeys. Use a bicycle.

Can we restore the huge trees that we cut down to build our house ??? .

Do you know that 1 single Tree can reduce temperature upto 5 Degree of surroundings .
1 Tree is equivalant to 10 Air Conditioners.
After Heavy Rains 1 Tree can store enough rain Water to reduce Floods in 1 Acre of land .

You can just Plant One tree to reduce global warming . If each one of 6 Billion population on earth plant 1 tree a year and take care of the growth of the tree then there would be 6 Billion tree in 1 year .

This will reduce Global warming in just One year time.

I want to become independent of energy companies that provide electric,gas, etc. and start producing most of my own food. Who out there has successfully made these type of changes. How do you cool/heat your home without electric or a fire place? Do you have any livestock or grow your own vegetables? Is a generater sufficient and economical for daily power needs? Does anyone use solar panels for power? Overall, I don’t mind giving up a few luxuries to have access to more of my hard earn money. These questions are based on what you can accomplish in the city.

With the price of food continuing to rise I read where in the 40s the government suggested victory gardens to grow your own vegetables and fruit because food was rationed. I found you could use a very small place(patio space if nothing else) and grow a lot more than you think. With about a $50 investment you can return 30 to 40 times that in grocery savings. One tomato plant(@ $3) in a flower pot filled with potting soil can give you as much as 10 pounds of tomatoes or more. At $2 a pound in the store you do the math and you’d see it is worth it. As a plus – no poisons sprayed on my vegetables!

A fifty investment would give you a small patio garden – not just one tomato plant. get your containers at a dollar store and cheap potting soil at Walmart. The seeds are cheaper at Walmart too.

List five ways to live a more green life style (reduce CO2, save energy and recycle, for example), but the catch is to limit yourself only to five ways and try not to say anything anyone else already said.

Have your friends answer this, star this question lets try to get as many responses as possible! I think we could come up with a lot of good ideas.

If you say recycle say specifically what. Some people don’t even know what all they can recycle. For example cell phones, there are actually salvage companies that take old cell phones, repair them and resell them as new. And its even something you can count as a tax deduction.

I’ll start:
1. Make a compost pile and grow your own vegetables. You can actually sell your compost to some greeneries too.
2. Change your light bulbs to energy efficient ones.
3. Walk or use public transportation more often instead of driving.
4. Recycle your old cell phones
5. Remember to unplug any battery chargers if you are not using them.

You already cannot pay your own medical bills, you have to pay big insurance.

Big oil is lobbying to make wood furnaces illegal so you will be forced to buy oil Or an oil derivative) to heat your house

Hunting is highly regulated with license costs out of many people’s reach.

They are passing a bill that originally made it illegal to grow your own vegetables (they then amended it after a huge outcry)

It is illegal to distill your own whiskey

Soon they are going to force people to register their goats, cows and chickens which is the first step to confiscation once a manufactured crisis comes through.

Those are only the things that come to mind, I’m sure there are more. So how long until we are forced to buy everything from the largest corporations and forbidden to do for ourselves? Ten Years? Twenty?
