1. Do plastic compost bins leach in to the compost/soil?
2. Do plastic tarps on green houses leach into the air then the plants?
3. If you water your plants with flouridated water does the plant soak up the flouride in its cells?
4. Do plastic rain water catches leach into the rain water? If so, does the BPA or toxins get into the plant?
5. Does flouridated water contaminate your compost pile?

These are good questions. First & 2 I do not think plastics leech into anything. Not at a rate fast enough to be noticeable. Third Fluoride has to go somewhere. I think it is absorbed by the plant but I doubt it has any effect on the cell structure of the plans. It is stored in the plant’s leaves I think. (I’m not a permaculture guy, but I dabble.) 4 I do not think so. I’d have to see a study before I even buy into that one. 5th Yes and no fluoridated water will find it’s way into your compost pile if you spray your garden hose into it. The temperature of your compost pile will not be high enough to burn off / steam this chemical. However microorganisms can digest what fluoride is there and change it into a salt of some sort. (Maybe.) There also might be some types of fungi that may be able to digest the fluorides. To get rid of fluoride, you have to distill you water, or filter it thought micro particulates like silica and clay. (Or both.) Storage in ceramic or glass containers is okay, I’d rather my store rainwater in a plastic barrel than a steel barrel only because the plastic barrel will last longer. You will not have heavy metals like Iron oxides in your water when the metal rusts barrel.
